When couples ask me why I love photographing elopements, it’s stories like this that make my heart sing. I’m Anita, their photographer, and I had the absolute joy of capturing a love story that began on one of the most iconic hiking routes in the world—the Pacific Crest Trail.
They first met as part of a larger hiking group, each with their own friends and intentions for the trail. But as fate would have it, after a few days, the group thinned out until it was just the two of them, hiking side by side. What started as a shared adventure with friends turned into a four-month-long journey of discovery—of the trail, the wilderness, and each other.
After months of walking through breathtaking landscapes, they made the decision to walk into a new chapter of their lives together. And instead of another mountain vista, their elopement took place at Fly the Coop Boutique in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho—an intimate and stylish space that was just as unique as their love story. The indoor setting was filled with warmth, cozy elegance, and personal touches that made the day feel like a perfectly crafted reflection of their bond.
This elopement was a beautiful reminder that love doesn’t always follow a straight path. Sometimes it winds through mountain trails and unexpected adventures and ends up in a place you never saw coming.
