Eloping today isn’t about running off in secret—it’s about choosing a wedding experience that’s intentional, personal, and free from expectations. For couples over 40, that means celebrating love on your terms—without the pressure of tradition or the need for a big production, or a quick visit to the courthouse.
Choosing to elope means saying goodbye to the stress of planning a big wedding and opening up a world of endless possibilities for your day. You're probably thinking, "This sounds amazing, but how does it all come together?"
That’s where I come in! I'm here to help you dream, plan, and bring your vision to life—right down to the smallest details. I'm also here to help with the big details, whether it’s a picnic on the lake, kayaking, a float plane tour, a helicopter ride to an ice field in Alaska, or saying your vows on a cliff in Yosemite, we can make it happen.
So take a deep breath, relax, and celebrate your choice to embrace a different kind of adventure—one that’s all about what YOU want.
By the time you reach this point in life, you know what matters — love that’s real, connection that lasts, and experiences that feel true to who you are.
I photograph elopements for couples over 40 because I’ve lived through new beginnings, too. I know how special it is to find love again — and how freeing it feels to celebrate it in a way that fits your life now: slower, more meaningful, and full of intention (and maybe a little laughter along the way).
With me, there’s no pressure to perform or fit into someone else’s idea of what a wedding should be. Just the two of you, in a beautiful place, doing what feels right — whether that’s exchanging vows on the shore of Priest Lake, sharing a quiet toast in the forest, or dancing in your hiking boots at sunset.
I’m there to bring a steady, grounded presence — the kind that helps you feel at ease so you can fully enjoy every moment. I’ll gently guide when needed, step back when it’s right, and make sure the photos reflect your day exactly as it felt: real, relaxed, and full of meaning. Let's make this next chapter you're best one yet.
— Anita
Photographer. Nature-lover. Always up for a hike and a good love story.
....
She just got us.
As we planned our elopement at Priest Lake, we weren’t sure we’d find a photographer who really understood where we are in life. But from the very beginning, everything just felt easy—like we were in good hands.
There was an instant connection. She knew how to make us feel comfortable in front of the camera, and we appreciated that she brings both experience and heart to her work. It was refreshing to work with someone who shares a similar outlook—someone who’s lived a little and truly understands how meaningful this moment was for us.
She captured the emotion, the laughter, and all those quiet, in-between moments that made the day so special. Nothing ever felt rushed or staged—it was just real.
Anita didn’t just take beautiful photos (though she absolutely did); she helped create an experience that felt calm, natural, and totally us.
-Mike and Reanna
" Anita had an eye for capturing the essence of our wedding day. Her creativity and art really came out in the photos, which were so beautiful and representative of our special day. Anita is the best"
- Martin and Joyce
"She really listened to what we were hoping to accomplish, organizing everything seamlessly around what we wanted — and freeing us from stress.
She even went as far as to help put the bouquet together and brought thoughtful accessories that enhanced our day.
She worked with us to make sure the photos we dreamed of were possible — even scouting out locations ahead of time so all we had to do was show up.
The lighting that day was tricky (from overcast sunrise, to bright sunshine, to shifting clouds, and finally evening light), but every picture turned out beautifully. Her enthusiasm was obvious and it shows in the final results.
We aren’t frequent subjects of photoshoots, but she made it easy. Her direction felt natural, and our poses suited each backdrop perfectly.
Her flexibility and willingness to adapt to our needs meant everything — and the quiet moments in between (hiking, chatting) made it clear she could be a friend to anyone within a day.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better person to plan and document our elopement.”
— Michael & Kyla

Elopements can just be the couple or shared with a few close friends and family, consisting of 5-10 guests depending on the restrictions of the planned location. Elopements take place somewhere in nature, including national parks that will usually require permits and making arrangements well in advance.
Intimate weddings can range from 10-25 guests depending on the restrictions of the location. Couples may choose to capture their ceremony more like an elopement with a celebration of more guests later in the day. Intimate weddings may take place somewhere out in nature or at a small wedding venue.

It all depends on what your vision of your day looks like. If you are having a quick ceremony and only want a few images of sharing your vows and portraits, a four hour session is plenty.
However, if you want to have a relaxed day and a bit of adventure including getting ready, first look, family portraits, and dancing under the stars as you end your day, you will want to look for a 8-10 hour timeline to ensure you get photos of your entire day.
